While the rest of the world is going crazy over the
iPhone and its
App Store, the cruising community seems a bit
behind. And that's a bit weird given the fact the iPhone has such an extensive set of capabilities when it comes to navigation.

iNavX myself, this commenter on Panbo basically says it all:

Having a chart plotter in cockpit or my dinghy is fun.
I have had a computer based plotter in the cabin by my Nav station. Though this summer I have left my laptop at home having all the same functionality with the iphone and using much less amp hours.
